Who WE are looking for:

We are looking for a highly skilled and accomplished Lead Shopify Frontend Developer to join our dynamic and expanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Shopify-based frontend solutions for Bearaby.

YOU will:

  • Convert Figma designs into fully responsive web pages using native CSS and CSS custom properties.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases.
  • Independently transform custom designs without relying on CSS frameworks.
  • Develop web applications adhering to best practices in web development.
  • Refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs and UX design.
  • Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance as required.
  • Implement technical search engine optimization (SEO) strategies.
  • Write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Work closely with the digital growth and creative teams to incorporate engaging new features and designs into our online store.

YOU Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, including semantic HTML5 elements.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles.
  • Experience with build tools like Grunt, Gulp, or Webpack.
  • Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility testing.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a team.
  • Thorough understanding of native CSS.
  • Proficient use of CSS custom properties (CSS variables).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest CSS features and technologies.
  • Ability to effectively implement new CSS features for dynamic and modern designs.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and eco-friendliness.
